Health and Safety Policies
If you employ 5 or more people then you must have a written Health and Safety Policy.
The policy addresses three main areas:-
Statement of Intent
The employer's commitment to provide and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
The Organisation/Structure
Details of health and safety responsibilities within the company. Key individuals should be named.
The Arrangements
Details of the means used to carry out the policy. E.g. safe systems of work, occupational health, accident reporting, etc.

Health and Safety Risk Assessments
Regardless of the size of your company, you have a statutory duty to carry out risk assessments.
You are required to look at your entire operation and identify any hazards, the likelihood of those hazards causing harm and what steps you have in place to minimise the risks.
